Job summary

A healthcare service provider in Milton Keynes is seeking dedicated individuals for a role supporting clients with complex needs. The successful candidate will provide personal care and companionship to a gentleman living with locked-in syndrome and diabetes. Flexibility is key, as the role requires weekend shifts and a minimum of two shifts per week. Access to a vehicle is necessary. Candidates will receive full nurse-led training, ongoing support, and the opportunity to develop their skills within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Access to a vehicle is necessary for this role.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
• No prior experience required, but prior knowledge of personal care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and personal care to a gentleman with locked-in syndrome and diabetes.
• Assist with daily household tasks.
• Help maintain a comfortable and supportive environment.

Job description

• Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday - 7:45 am - 6:45 pm

The successful candidate will be flexible to cover days and nights and able to work every other weekend and must be able to work at least 2 shifts per week.

Access to a vehicle is required due to the geographical location of the role.

Job Description

What you’ll do

You will support a gentleman living with locked-in syndrome and type 2 diabetes by providing companionship, personal care and assistance with daily household tasks. He is a passionate Tottenham football fan and enjoys watching sports, TV and films. He values spending time with his visiting family, listening to the radio and taking walks around the local area. Your role will involve helping him maintain a comfortable, engaging and supportive environment.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

Previous experience is not required; however, experience with catheter care, bowel management, and medication administration is advantageous.

You’ll receive full nurse led training and ongoing clinical support to develop skills in various areas.

The successful candidate with be a driver with access to a car.
