40 hours: 06:00-14:30 / 13:30-22:00 Monday - Friday

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Car Technician to join our team at our Mercedes-Benz dealership in Gloucester. As a Car Technician, your role will be to keep our customers’ vehicles on the road through quality, safe and compliant maintenance. The right candidate will be able to deliver an exceptional service to the highest quality.

Day to day, you will be:

  • Performing major and minor repairs to Mercedes-Benz cars.
  • Performing regular inspections and general preventive maintenance services.
  • Maintaining inventory in the workshop and keeping the area clean from oil spills and dust.
  • Working with repair teams to help diagnose and plan repairs for the vehicles.
  • Maintaining records of vehicles that have been repaired, using all appropriate modules of Keyloop/Kerridge.
  • Completing relevant documentation and paperwork as required and providing warranty claims or escalating them to higher management.
  • Carrying out wheel alignment and tyre fitting.
  • Completing customer documentation while working to agreed timescales.

Skills & Behaviours Required for this Role:

  • You will need to be level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI Qualification) in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance.
  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic and service repairs. You will need the ability to identify worn & faulty components in accordance with the DVSA Standards and have a current qualification.
