A leading foodservice provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Trunker driver to support depot operations. You will drive to collect backhaul while ensuring compliance with safety and driving legislation. Reading depot is an ambient Hub forms an essential part of the Bidfood operation in delivering excellent customer service to our Bidfood Depot across the country customers.

As a Trunker driver, you will be working during the daytime Sunday to Thursday on a 5 out of 7 day’s contract, working 45 hours per week.
Your responsibilities will include driving across the country to other Bidfood sites and collecting backhaul on route back to the depot. You will therefore have the ability to drive company vehicles on and off loading bays in a safe manner, complying with company policies and driving legislation. You may be required to cover holidays as and when required, as well as all other duties required by your line manager as well as some nights away.
To be successful in this role you will require a driving qualification of LGV Class C+E and you should be used to working during the day, bank holidays and working to set of performance measures in an ambient environment. You will have an accurate, methodical and flexible approach to your responsibilities and be a good team player who supports our Company values, processes and standards with a positive attitude and a good attendance record.
