As an official BYD dealership, Riverside Motor Group is now looking for a dedicated, skilled technician to join our team at BYD Wakefield and help drive the success of the BYD brand be a part of one of the world’s fastest growing automotive brands, helping drive the success of the BYD brand.

As a BYD technician, you will be a part of one of the world’s fastest growing automotive brands. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing BYD vehicles to ensure they meet our manufacturer standards. You will use the latest diagnostic tools to identify issues and perform routine maintenance to ensure vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.

You will:
  • Carry out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on BYD electric vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance and checks, ensuring all vehicles meet manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose and identify faults and resolve issues efficiently
  • Work in compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines
  • Keep up to date with latest product knowledge, technical updates, and training
  • Have the greatest respect for our customers by safeguarding their property against accidental damage or avoidable mess
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documenting and reporting skills
  • Support the team in maintaining the workshop’s high standards of cleanliness and organisation

You will have:
  • Previous experience as a vehicle technician, EV experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to continually develop professionally
  • Valid, full driving licence
