Job summary

Business Support Administrator, Adoption – closing date 5 January 2026

We’re looking for a part‑time Business Support Administrator to join our Adoption team.

Location: Reading (Hybrid, one day per week in Reading office)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part‑time 22 hours per week, distributed over 3 or 4 weekdays

Role: The Business Support Administrator provides essential support to the adoption process, ensuring that our service is of high quality, safe and meets performance targets and service standards.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Manage enquiries from adoption applicants and other agencies, providing general information and support.
  • Send all required information to adoption applicants in a timely manner.
  • Record information efficiently and accurately on a database.
  • Ensure relevant checks, documentation are completed for the adoption process.
  • Provide cover for the Panel Administrator as needed.
  • Provide administrative support across our Business Support admin team.

As a Business Support Administrator, you’ll:

  • Have experience providing great admin support in a busy, demanding environment.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Be adept at organising, proactive in managing a busy workload, and meeting deadlines.
  • Produce work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary: Pro‑rata salary range of £14,415 to £16,485 per annum (Full‑time equivalent £24,243 – £27,725 per annum).
