About the Role
As our Business Development Executive, you’ll play a crucial role in connecting Hush with organisations who are ready to elevate their digital presence. This is a hands‑on, outward‑facing position where your curiosity, people skills and initiative will help open doors and spark meaningful conversations. You’ll spend your time researching potential clients, crafting personalised outreach, attending events and building genuine relationships that lead to new opportunities.
You won’t be working in isolation, you’ll collaborate closely with our Directors, who’ll support you in shaping strategy, refining messaging and progressing high‑value leads. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people, thrives in a fast‑paced digital environment and is motivated by the challenge of turning first conversations into long‑term partnerships.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Identifying new business opportunities across key industries, platforms and networks.
- Reaching out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, calls and other innovative channels.
- Qualifying leads and booking discovery calls to open new relationships.
- Crafting tailored outreach messages and short‑form copy that cuts through the noise.
Relationship Building & Meetings
- Setting up and attending meetings online and in person with full Director support.
- Attending selected networking events, conferences and local business gatherings to build connections, represent Hush and grow your personal network.
- Acting as a friendly, confident first point of contact for prospective clients.
- Maintaining an accurate, organised CRM with all lead activity, interactions and follow‑ups.
- Working closely with Directors to nurture high‑value leads and progress opportunities.
- Supporting wider marketing activity to fuel campaigns that attract and convert prospects.
- Sourcing and attending appropriate networking events, exhibitions and opportunities – sometimes alone and sometimes with a Director.
- Engaging with prospects during events and ensuring timely, targeted follow‑up afterwards.
- Assisting in the creation of required sales collateral such as pitch decks, service summaries, event packs and case studies.
Performance & Growth
- Tracking engagement and testing new outreach approaches to improve results.
- Sharing insights on lead quality, messaging and channel performance.
- Playing an active role in shaping and improving our business development strategies.
What You’ll Need
- Confidence and energy when approaching new people – both in person and online.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research skills with the ability to spot valuable opportunities.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
- Comfortable using CRMs, email platforms and LinkedIn tools.
- A resilient, proactive attitude – able to handle knockbacks and keep momentum.
- Experience in lead generation, telesales, events or sales support (agency experience a bonus).
We’d Love You to Have
- Experience with digital products such as websites, SEO or digital marketing services.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
- Confidence using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or similar prospecting tools.
- Ability to write sharp, engaging outreach copy.
- A goal‑driven mindset with a hunger to succeed and progress.
