Job description

The post holder will be responsible forthe end-to-end Win Business process for potential business opportunities. Providing accurate and up to date KPIs on the performance of the Commercial team against business targets for the given year. Supporting the worldwide sales team during new bid campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining data to enable assessment of potential new business in line with current internal supply and demand
  • Ownership of the end to end ‘Bid process’
  • Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from technical (mechanical and electrical engineering, integration certification), programme management, finance, commercial, legal, operations and external suppliers
  • Provide support to the Sales Executive team during the ‘bid process’ including but not limited to:
    • Reviewing the commercial and contractual aspects of the bid with all internal stakeholders ensuring all services and terms are fully and cncisely responded to in the final proposal to the customer
    • Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as preparation of a management summary)
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues in relations to all proposals within their control
  • Develop & maintain Marketing seat readiness plans in conjunction with other functions for upcoming seat demonstrations for internal and external customers
  • Working closely with the Sales & Business Development Executive to manage the business Portfolio, focused on the bid space for new opportunities against product strategy, inclusive of internal demands such as the Hamburg AIX trade event each year
  • Gathering the required data to support the providing on time delivery of accurate Commercial team KPIs on a monthly basis
  • Ownership and monthly update of all KPIs relating to the RFP processRespnsible for management and logistics of the Commercial ‘Marketing seats’ to meet the needs of the Sales teams

Requirements
Essential
  • Highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines
  • Strong analytical, people management, communication and commercial skills
  • Confident in leading technical meetings and discussions to ensure that the required goals are met
  • Solid understanding and implementation of internal governance procedures
  • Proven awareness of project and risk management identification and mitigation strategies
  • Sound engineering knowledge preferably in the BC seating environment
  • Understanding of contractual wording and documents, with previous experience of reviewing such items
  • Previously worked in a customer facing role
  • Experienced in conflict resolution
  • Confident in presenting to internal and customer Senior Leaders
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, good working knowledge of other MS packages including Word and PowerPoint
  • Able to travel for periods of up to 1 week at a time, inclusive of weekends as and when required to support the business need
