Overview

Bridge Inspector Apprentice

We're looking for a Bridge Inspector Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineer Technician.

Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £20,800

Start Date: September 2026

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Bridge Inspector Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineer Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support the overall design, build and maintenance of infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.

Your day to day will include:

  • Learning how to act safely on site and being responsible for yourself and the other inspector
  • Supporting in identifying defects and determine causes in a highway structure
  • Learn technical report writing skills
  • Be responsible for contractual inspection KPI as a team
  • Manage the asset database and learn how to keep it up to date for accuracy
