Responsibilities

  • Estimating to cover all repairs and reassessing for accuracy.
  • Communicating effectively with engineers, insurers, and customers.
  • Carrying out estimating on-site or off-site promptly.
  • Supervising team performance as necessary.
  • Ordering parts in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring accurate method quotes and job card information.
  • Documenting the estimation process accurately.
  • Visiting dealerships to generate business for body repair outlets.

Bodyshop Development Executive
Role & Purpose

The Bodyshop Development Executive is a member of the Bodyshop Team and will report to the Bodyshop Manager. The Bodyshop Development Executive is responsible for estimating all damaged vehicles and sending accurate information to insurance companies for authority.

Responsibilities
  • Estimating to cover all repairs and re-assessing in order to create the correct time and costs to be authorised by insurers using insurance companies preferred computer systems/guidelines.
  • Communicating effectively with the engineers, insurance companies and customers to ensure all parties are updated and well informed.
  • Carrying out estimating either on site or off site in a timely manner.
  • Supervising the team where necessary to help them carry out their role to the best of their ability.
  • Ordering the correct parts with parts department to ensure the spares arrive in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the correct repair methods are quoted for in the repair and job cards reflect the information accurately.
  • Documenting and updating each stage of the estimation process correctly (imagery/updating insurance systems/companies/customers) to ensure accuracy of information and to obtain repair authority.
  • Mobile role visiting our Dealerships in the Portsmouth area generating business for our body repair outlets
