Bikeability Coordinator

Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Bikeability Coordinator to join our Safer Highways team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage the delivery of approximately 300 Bikeability training courses per year in Nottinghamshire including managing bookings with schools, businesses, charities and venues, building positive relationships and covering Bikeability training sessions if required.
  • Support the training of frontlineBikeabilityCycling Instructors to ensure services are deliveredin accordance withthe national ‘Cycle Training Delivery Guide’.
    Assess performance of Bikeability Cycling Instructors giving feedback and taking corrective actions where required.
  • Responsible for the operational management of Bikeability Cycling Instructors in live situations which can occur and undertake dynamic risk assessments.
  • Support the recruitment of Bikeability Cycling Instructors, including advertising, interview, pre-employment checks, and induction of new staff.
  • Support health and safety management across the service to ensure health & safety legislation, policy, and best practice is fully adhered to.
  • Responsible for the validation of Terms & Conditions, pre-course information and site‑specific risk assessments for different school locations, including adjustments for SEND issues.
What we’re seeking:
  • Ability to meet the Bikeability National Standard or undertake training to gain equivalent 1st 4 Sport level.
  • Experience of supervising staff including coaching and/or performance management.
  • Training, presentation or teaching experience and the ability to positively influence the thinking and behaviour of others.
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication and numeracy skills required when responding to colleagues, clients and partners.
  • Good IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office products and databases to help manage services and maintain staff information in accordance with GDPR and service delivery.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate is essential to work with children and vulnerable adults.
  • Full UK Valid Driving Licence.
