Location: Ross-on-Wye

Hours: 24 hours per week

Contract Type : Part-Time,Permanent

Salary: £15,238.08 to £16,200 per annum (DOE & Qualifications)

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in writing, editing and developing clear, persuasive bid and tender responses.
  • Work closely with the Bid Supervisor to learn bid-writing best practice, structure and compliance requirements.
  • Review tender documents to understand client questions, requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Help gather and organise information from internal teams to support high-quality written submissions.
  • Support the preparation, formatting and submission of tender documents and proposals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across sales, marketing and operations to ensure bids are accurate and consistent.
  • Maintain bid records and provide administrative support throughout the bid process, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Develop an understanding of industry standards, client expectations and market trends to strengthen future bids.
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an aspiring Trainee Bid Writer with a genuine passion for writing and a strong desire to learn and develop. Previous bid or compliance experience tədb required – instead, we are seeking someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and work ethic to build a career within our Bid Team.

You may be suited to this role if you are:

  • A strong writer - with a natural flair for written communication and an ability to adapt tone and style.
  • Detail-focused - able to produce accurate, well‑structured and polished written content.
  • Proactive and eager to learn – motivated, curious and keen to develop new skills.
  • Organised – able to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A team player – comfortable working collaboratively and taking guidance from experienced colleagues.
