CHC Helicopter has an exciting opportunity for a Base Maintenance Shift Supervisor to join our Aberdeen team. This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career. Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will lead the team, drive performance, and support continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be energetic, passionate, and will put the safe operation of the department as a top priority.

Key responsibilities (inclusive but not limited to)
  • Playing a key role in CHC’s ability to set the standard for safety.
  • Overseeing quality control of aircraft maintenance, equipment, and documentation in all areas under the department’s control.
  • Delegating and prioritising scheduled tasks to efficiently complete maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the Maintenance Manager to motivate and enthuse team members to continually reach project milestones and identify areas of improvement.
  • Fully briefing team members on shift tasks, including any health and safety considerations (e.g. toolbox talks).
  • Ensuring staff comply with the requirements of department maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinating the maintenance and control of associated CHC equipment and tooling.
  • Monitoring documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of all working areas under the department’s control.
  • Acting as the point of contact for out‑of‑hours issues.
Ideal candidate qualifications
  • Recent helicopter Line/Base maintenance experience with considerable certifying experience in similar environments.
  • Possession of a UKCAA Part 66 Licence in CAT B1.3 and/or B2 with an S92 and/or EC175 Type Rating.
  • Possession of a UK CAA Part 66 CAT C licence.
  • Considerable knowledge of CAA regulations relating to Part 145 Maintenance Organisation and Continued Airworthiness.
  • Awareness of MSDS and COSHH requirements.
  • Experience/knowledge of AMOS MRO software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills; role may require communication internally and externally at all levels.
  • The ability to work within a team, including coordination of tasks outside your trade discipline.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience/qualities.
  • Effective problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and adaptability to changing deadlines/priorities.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and promotion of CHC core values.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.

Candidates will also be required to pass psychometric evaluations and a UK security background check that is required to obtain an airport security pass.
