A healthcare organization in Highbridge is seeking a compassionate Bank Support Worker to assist with the care of residents with autism and mental health needs. Responsibilities include supporting daily living tasks, maintaining care plans, and fostering professional relationships. The Lodge is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. The Lodge is located in Highbridge, Somerset. The home offers residential support for 12 males and females who are autistic or have mental health needs. We are on a busy street, very close to the town centre, local amenities and public transport links.
Our team are dedicated to ensuring the people we care for are supported to live their best life, meeting their desired outcomes and goals.
We can also support those who have a learning disability and mild to moderate behaviours that challenge.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a related area, or an equivalent or higher recognised qualification. They should also have GCSEs or an NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. It is acknowledged that not all new recruits will have obtained the NVQ Level 2 qualification upon appointment; however, they will be expected to begin the process of attaining it within six months of joining and complete it within a specified timeframe. While experience of working in a related environment is desirable, it is not essential.
