Bank Hand Therapist | Physiotherapy | Private Hospital | St Anthony's Hospital | Flexible Working | Sutton

Spire St Anthony Hospital is looking for a Bank Hand Therapist to join our dynamic and forward‑thinking Physiotherapy team on a flexible working basis, covering sickness, annual leave and busy periods. Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We have six operating theatres covering a wide range of specialities and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • To provide a high standard of specialist hand therapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice to patients within the physiotherapy department
  • Potential for development of Advanced Practice role supported by specialist hand and wrist consultant
  • Management of conditions such as Trapeziectomy, Fasciotomy, Tendon repairs, joint replacements
  • Provision of holistic hand therapy care including wound management and provision of custom made splints for hand and wrist pathologies
  • Discuss, agree and explain responsibilities for the therapy assessment of patients, including their needs and any associated risks
  • Using clinical reasoning skills develop treatment plans that are appropriate to the patient taking into consideration their physiotherapy care, risks and wellbeing.
Qualifications
  • Degree (BSc Hons in Physiotherapy) or equivalent
  • HCPC registered
  • Previous experience is essential in specialist hand therapy role
  • Experience of assessing, diagnosing and treating specialist hand cases
