Bank Healthcare Assistant

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Employment Type: Bank

Location: Althea Park House

Compensation: £12.21 / hour

Description

Althea Park House is looking to recruit a healthcare assistant to join the team, this is a bank role. The shift patterns we have for days and nights are:

  • Early shift: 7.30am-3.30pm
  • Late shift: 2.30pm-10.30pm
  • Waking night shifts: 10pm-8am

Set in a charming Victorian townhouse with period features, Priory Althea Park House is a residential home in Stroud, Gloucestershire. We offer 10 beds for young people with an eating disorder.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a healthcare assistant, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

You may also have to:

  • Participate in regular ward meetings and attend other meetings as requested.
  • Assist in the maintenance of stock levels, including pharmaceutical products.
  • Assist in the maintenance of ward cleanliness and tidiness and adhere to infection control policy and procedures at all times.
  • Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
