Overview

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Band 5

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, monitoring their condition, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care including administering medications, treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Assess patient conditions and provide necessary interventions.
  • Collaborate with doctors, healthcare professionals and families to ensure patient well-being.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Valid Nursing registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) for the UK or the NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).
  • 12 Months recent paid experience completed at ward level within an NHS/HSC hospital setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to administer subcutaneous fluids.
  • Experience with Dementia and management of stress and destress.
  • Ability to create care plans depending on patients’ needs.
  • Ability to complete Datix incident and risk reporting.
Desirable Requirements
  • Catheterisation experience for both male and female; suprapubic experience is desirable in case a patient goes to retention.
  • Venepuncture.
  • Experience in modified compression would be helpful but not essential.
