Job Summary

The Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust has the largest NHS decontamination facility in the UK, based in Enfield. We have two vacancies available for an Endoscopy Decontamination Technician on our shift Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00. The hours are 37.5 a week but flexibility is a must for this role. The unit processes 14 million surgical instruments and 140,000 flexible endoscopes a year, providing services to NHS and private hospitals. You will be a valued member of the team assisting clinical colleagues by providing decontaminated flexible endoscopes to enable patient care.

Main duties

The role is to assist in day‑to‑day reprocessing (decontamination) of flexible endoscopes for clinical use. Following training and assessment, undertake all duties related to the reprocessing (cleaning, disinfection, packing/storage) of flexible endoscopes of varying descriptions and types.
