Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to shape modern cloud solutions that enhance operations within the nuclear sector. The role encompasses deploying and managing Azure services, building CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring cloud environments. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in Azure and cloud automation tools, hold an HNC in a relevant field, and meet Security Clearance requirements. This position offers a salary range from £45,641 to £81,263 with a hybrid working model.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated capability with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proficiency in Azure Services.
  • Expertise in Windows and Linux system administration.
  • High proficiency with cloud automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of network architecture including VPNs, firewalls, and secure connectivity.

Responsibilities

  • Deploying, managing, and enhancing Azure services.
  • Building, deploying, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Administration of Windows and Linux systems in Azure.
  • Supporting automation through PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Monitoring performance, cost, governance, and security across cloud environments.
