Awake Night Support Worker (Rosemary Cottage)

At Canterbury Oast Trust, we support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. At Rosemary Cottage, one of our residential services, we are looking for a compassionate and resilient Awake Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide safety, reassurance, and practical support throughout the night.
  • Carry out regular checks in line with residents’ care plans, giving priority to their needs.
  • Support with personal care, nutrition, continence, and clinical needs where required.
  • Complete food hygiene closing checks, fire safety tasks, and other nightly routines.
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to handovers for consistent, person‑centred care.
  • Maintain a homely, safe, and supportive environment.
  • Pay & Allowances: Competitive hourly rate with £24.46 per awake night and £2,590 Specialist Needs Allowance (pro‑rata). Plus £0.70 weekend enhancement.
  • Annual Leave: 22 days plus bank holidays (pro‑rata), increasing with length of service.
  • Pension: Auto‑enrolment with employer contributions.
  • Healthcare: Healthshield cash plan after probation, including dental, optical, therapies, and counselling support.

  • A full driving licence (manual) is required.
