Qualifications

Job description
Audit Manager – Media – Know Capital

Join Know Capital as an Audit Manager for Media, based at the West End office with a predominantly media industry client base. Media‑specific experience is not essential, but you should have at least two years of experience managing audits.

Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day contact with the Media Team, clients, HMRC and other professional advisors.
  • All aspects of audit management from planning to completion, delegating work to the team, providing supervision and monitoring progress.
  • Detailed file review and debriefing the team with a key focus on feedback.
  • Lead client meetings at planning and completion stages and throughout the audit as required.
  • All aspects of client billing.
  • Finalisation of file for RI review.
  • Tax compliance where required and liaising with tax specialists.
  • Subsequent submission to HMRC and Companies House.
  • Motivation and encouragement of the team, providing timely constructive feedback.
Qualifications
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA with significant experience in a UK accountancy practice.
  • Experience managing audits for large domestic and international groups, including group reporting (both as group auditor and component auditor).
  • At least two years of experience managing people and an audit‑focused portfolio.
  • Expertise in delivering the primary accounting frameworks (UK GAAP, FRS 101, FRS 102 and IFRS).
  • Good IT skills – MS Excel & Word, with knowledge of CaseWare, CCH and other relevant packages.
  • Commercially aware with a commitment to client care and service, CPD and technical competence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
