Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Audit & Assurance HSEQ Manager to join our team at Severn Trent Water. Reporting to the Performance & Assurance Business Leader, you’ll lead a team of six Audit & Assurance HSEQ Technicians who deliver first-line assurance across our Mains Renewal function.


EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As Audit & Assurance HSEQ Manager, you’ll:



  • Lead and manage a team of six Audit & Assurance HSEQ Technicians.

  • Oversee first-line assurance audits for construction teams, supporting Network Construction Managers with detailed compliance checks.

  • Ensure robust site compliance across all mains renewal programmes in line with NRSWA and HSE regulations.

  • Monitor compliance performance, analyse findings, identify trends, and share insights to drive improvements in site safety and set‑up.

  • Manage escalations from the Audit & Assurance HSEQ team and support resolution.

  • Champion continuous improvement, constructively challenging behaviours and processes to enhance standards.

  • Maintain adherence to CDM compliance and Construction Phase Plans (CPP).

  • Proven experience in audit, assurance, and compliance management within construction or utilities.

  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ standards, NRSWA, and HSE regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence and drive cultural change.
