Salary range: Circa £60,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits Package

Job Type: Full time

A growing infrastructure consenting team is seeking an Associate Partner with experience in Planning Act 2008 procedures. The role is based in London, Birmingham, or Leeds with flexible working arrangements. The team advises on a wide range of infrastructure projects, including rail, mass transit, roads, and energy generation, managing consents under various regimes such as DCOs, TWAOs, Section 36, and TCPA projects. Current and upcoming projects include major national infrastructure developments and renewable energy initiatives, offering opportunities to work with leading clients and contribute to large-scale, high-impact projects.

Responsibilities
  • Advise on infrastructure projects across a wide range of consent regimes, including DCOs, TWAOs, Section 36, and TCPA projects. Preparation, management and negotiation of planning submissions. This will include working alongside and project managing other disciplines.
  • Manage and deliver large and complex projects from inception through to submission and approval.
  • Lead project teams, providing technical guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including major infrastructure and renewable energy stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including networking, seminars, publications, and market engagement.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and resources with autonomy and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including land, project management, and technical specialists, to ensure coordinated project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation, technical developments, and best practices in infrastructure consenting.
  • Support career development initiatives and contribute to the growth of the infrastructure team.
  • Travel across the UK as required, while maintaining a balance between flexible working and office presence.
What We’re Looking For
  • You must be a Chartered Member of the RTPI or close to achieving this
  • We’d like you to have experience and knowledge of the NSIP and/or similar regimes, or with experience managing large and complex project teams
  • You must have a full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
