As part of the Asset Management Transformation team within UK Business Advisory (Management Consulting), you will help clients maximise value from built or natural assets over their lifecycle, through governance, strategy, planning, and data-enabled decision-making. Our team combines engineering, technical, commercial, and business expertise to deliver change programmes across infrastructure, asset types and sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead significant client projects and accounts from sales/bidding to solution design, activity planning, delivery, and knowledge capture; manage multi-disciplinary teams and deliver commercial outcomes for Arcadis.
  • Diagnose asset-centric issues on large-scale engagements and design/implement solutions that demonstrate benefits and value.
  • Lead teams using market insights, trends, risks, and opportunities to inform recommendations and client outcomes.
  • Drive business development and sales for asset management propositions, including leading relevant bids to grow the Asset Management Transformation capability and the wider Business Advisory unit.
  • Ensure exceptional client experience from mobilisation to handover by understanding client needs and delivering on commitments.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, owning the development of offerings and contributing to continuous improvement of solutions and delivery approaches.
  • Participate in UK&I and Global asset management communities of practice to share and develop solutions.
  • Provide line management, coaching, and mentoring to junior staff and support career development.
  • Support and contribute to team strategy and capability building activities.
  • Support on-project development of team members’ skills to help them achieve career goals.
Qualifications & Experience

Ideally you are an entrepreneurial, inclusive professional with experience in natural or built asset environments, coming from asset-owning/operating organisations or consulting, with a track record of growing client relationships and delivering impact. You should be a problem-solver who can understand client needs and provide practical solutions.

  • Demonstrable track record of leading asset management or management consulting projects in relevant sectors (Infrastructure, Transportation, Water, Energy, Utilities, Defence, etc.).
  • Thought leadership in asset lifecycle phases (strategy/planning, design/build, operations/maintenance, decommissioning) and/or specific services such as:
  • Asset management operating model design & transformation; ISO 55001 aligned asset management system development; regulatory business planning and adaptive planning; asset portfolio investment prioritisation & optimisation; benefit-led prioritisation of improvements and business change; operational efficiency; asset information and data maturity improvement.
  • Significant experience in business development, bidding, and securing sales in a consulting environment.
  • Strong client and stakeholder communication skills, including at senior levels (Board/Exec level).
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, and commercial management abilities.
  • Ability to assess business problems and communicate practical improvement recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., MCA, IAM) or willingness to work toward them are preferable.
