Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Working with the Store Manager, you’ll share joint responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the store.
• You will be working up to 45 hours per week; all extra time worked is paid or can be taken as time off in lieu.
• You’ll be leading by example, co‑managing a small team of 4–6 staff members.
• You’ll be committed to motivating your team to deliver a great customer experience and achieve challenging sales targets.
• With a commitment to offering honest advice, you will build rapport with customers, exceeding their expectations and reassuring them when they’re bewildered by choice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail customer service‑oriented or sales environment.
• Supervisory or junior management experience within a retail or field sales position, ideally in a hard goods environment.
• Practical experience/knowledge of some or all of our product range.
• Proven ability to sell our product range.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
• Proven experience in achieving sales targets.
• Confident, enthusiastic team player.
• Accuracy and numeracy skills and basic computer literacy.
• High degree of self‑motivation and a can‑do attitude.
• Desire to succeed individually and as a co‑leader of the team.
