Who are we?
We are Pershing Consultants, a human-centric engineering project partner supporting critical infrastructure development across the UK.
We specialise in the project management of energy infrastructure projects including solar, wind, energy storage, hydrogen and nuclear.
We have a wealth of experience in managing the entire project lifecycle, from the initial conceptualisation, site selection and feasibility studies, to engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Our team is well-versed in industry regulations and has a proven track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
As an Assistant Project Manager / Project Controls Engineer, you will support Project Managers by delivering high-quality project controls across schedule, cost, risk, reporting, and project documentation. You will work as part of integrated project teams and help bring consistency and best practice to major renewable energy projects.
Most of your work will focus on project controls, but you may also take on broader project management responsibilities depending on project needs. Projects are primarily solar, wind, battery, and hydrogen developments in the pre-application stage, many of which aredesignated Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and follow the Development Consent Order (DCO) process.
There is flexibility in the role, and your responsibilities will vary depending on project demands, the capability needs of the Pershing PM team, and your own skills and interests. Supported by Pershing’s PMO Lead, you will typically be involved in the following:
This is a hybrid role based primarily from home, but with the requirement to meet with the PMO team in either central Manchester or London once a week.
We believe you should be rewarded fairly for the work that you do, so in addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive an enhanced benefits package that includes company profit share, flexible and remote working options, and a tailored development plan.
