Henson School of Science and Technology at Salisbury University invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for the position of **Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics**. This is a 10-month, full-time tenure-track position that begins in August of 2026.Instructional duties include teaching 12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate courses and laboratories in physics and/or engineering at the introductory and advanced levels as well as contributing to the general physics and engineering curricula. Faculty members are expected to participate in campus service activities and maintain an active program of scholarship that includes mentoring students in research projects.**Required/Minimum Qualifications**A Ph.D. or equivalent in physics or engineering must be completed before the date of hire. Candidates must haveeffective written and oral communication skills and demonstrate potential for excellence in undergraduate teaching and research. A commitment to serving a diverse student body and promoting an equitable and inclusive learning environment in the classroom is also required.
