Assistant Financial Controller – UK & Ireland

Location: Frimley | Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to play a key role in leading financial operations across the UK & Ireland. This position oversees the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close (US & UK GAAP), ensures compliance and strong financial controls (including SOX), and manages a team of five accountants.

You’ll work closely with teams across the business, supporting budgeting, forecasting, audits and process improvements, while helping to drive high-quality reporting and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead UK&I financial close cycles and statutory reporting
  • Manage VAT, PSA, Environmental Levies and support corporation tax
  • Analyse results and performance vs budget/forecast
  • Develop and lead a team of accountants
  • Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Lead and contribute to finance projects
About You
  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years’ experience
  • Resilient, organised and detail driven
  • Strong communicator with excellent systems and Excel skills (CODA a plus)
