Overview

We are looking to strengthen our Digital Delivery team with an Assistant Engineering Technologist / Assistant Visualiser based in Hattersley office with occasional travel to sites across the UK. You will report directly to the Head of Digital Delivery and we are seeking a digitally enthused individual looking to undertake a developing role in visualisation in the Engineering and Operational environment. Working closely with cross regions teams to understand, develop and deploy best in class visualisation to support a broad spectrum of outputs, from tender bidding to fully interactive and immersive environments. MWH Treatment are looking for an individual who is prepared to learn new software, push the boundaries in innovation and enable maximum value realisation through deploying the right tools at the right time.

Implementing Digital Delivery as business as usual is a strategic priority for MWH Treatment. The core Digital Delivery tools are Delivery & Digital Strategy, Visual Project Initiation (including Digital Survey), Data rich 3D models, Collaborative Reviews, Digital Rehearsals, Digital Field Management and Building our Data & Analytics capability. To ensure our regional teams have the support needed to integrate these digital tools as business as usual we have a need for an Assistant Engineering Technologist.

Role

The individual will report to the Engineering Technologist and support regional engineering and operational digital teams in achieving their digital strategies. The role will require a proactive individual to manage and organise multiple projects, stakeholders and deadlines. With the right support the individual will be encouraged to offer suggestions and improvements to final products for the benefit of the wider projects.

Responsibilities
  • Production of flythrough animations and imagery
  • Asset creation in 3DS Max, CAD software, Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and InfraWorks (training and support can be provided)
  • Attention to detail, have a good eye for conveying technical information through artwork
  • Ability to work quickly, when confident with the digital toolset and adhere to deadlines
  • Proactive in seeking information from central and regional teams
  • Encouraged to develop new products and services, ensuring MWH Treatment are industry leading in this sector
Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience with 3D modelling tools such as 3ds Max, ACAD, Revit
  • Experience using video editing packages (Premiere Pro, After Effects or Camtasia)
  • Experience creating animations with Google Earth Pro
  • Good understanding of camera composition and setup
  • Unreal or Unity3D engine and the ability to code in C#
  • VR/AR/XR experience
  • 4D model building
