A dedicated care organization in Scotland is seeking an Assistant Chef to join their kitchen team. This role involves serving nutritious meals to residents and maintaining cleanliness standards in the kitchen. While experience is beneficial, it is not essential. Candidates should ideally have an SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Catering and a basic Food Hygiene Certificate. As Assistant Chef, you will be part of a small kitchen team, serving delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals that our residents will love. Working closely with the Head Chef, and deputising in their absence, you'll provide high-quality food service to support residents, responding to their needs and contributing to their overall positive experience in the home. You will also help to ensure the Kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations.
As an Assistant Chef at BCG, you will strive to deliver person-centred hospitality to the highest standards. While some experience in a kitchen environment is desirable, it is not essential. Ideally you should have an SVQ/ NVQ level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery, a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
Successful candidates are subject to satisfactory references and a PVG check and must be authorised to work in the UK.
