We are currently looking for an Apprentice to to train to become a fully qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer, at out Bury St Edmunds branch.

Outline of the job
- Initially you will be working with a member/s of our engineering staff (RAC Engineer) who will provide one to one support and guidance in your professional development.
- As your ability and experience develops you will undertake simple tasks on your own but under our direct supervision.
- As your skills and experience develop further you will undertake simple tasks yourself, this will gradually increase in line with time and your skills sets with the eventual aim of you being able to undertake the majority of our workscope unsupervised.
Training....
In addition to ‘on the job’ in-house training we will work with training establishments such as technical colleges and other specialists to deliver nationally recognised qualifications in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Person Specification
- You will need to have a logical organised approach to both your learning and the physical aspects of our work.
- You will need to develop a good set of problem solving skills and be adaptable to technical changes in a fast moving industry.
- You will need to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and adopt a ‘can do’ approach.
- You will need to have good IT skills and be able to adapt to different learning styles.
- You should be physically fit as the role has a reasonable degree of manual work in a variety of work situations / sites.
Areas of concern include, colour blindness, vertigo, epilepsy or similar conditions, hearing, dexterity problems. - Ideally at least 17 years of age. Site attendance restrictions prohibit those under 18 years of age.
- Passed driving test for, or learning to drive manual vehicles.
- No, or minimal points on driving licence.
- Own transport to get to P&R work base.
- Achieved Grade ‘C’ or ‘4’ in English, Maths, and IT as these are required to meet apprenticeship level 2 minimum enrolment requirements.
