CHA Information Technology is an innovative, fast-paced and dynamic department supporting a vibrant health system that serves everyone in need. The Applications Analyst II position on the I.T. User Access team works to implement, maintain, support, and support the use of software applications leveraged by Cambridge Health Alliance.

Position Summary

The Applications Analyst II is a member of the User Access/Epic Security team. The position supports the daily provisioning, editing, and terminating of access to multiple systems including Epic, under the direction of the Sr. Director of Applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance and Optimization: Maintain and optimize current User Access workflows.
  • Updates and Testing: Participate in relevant application updates complete required testing of new processes and functionality.
  • New Application Integration: Integrate new applications into existing workflows.
  • Liaison and Modification: Act as a liaison between users and I.T. teams; guide the modification of application security based on the updated needs of the user and/or organization.
  • User Support and Education: Facilitate end users' ability to understand and maximize the use of the software to perform daily operations. Work with I.T. Education staff to coordinate the provisioning of access, especially to clinicians.
  • Issue Resolution: Respond to user questions with timely answers and/or referral to the appropriate department/person.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in health care related field, Information Systems or Business Management. Equivalent, relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 3-years experience as an Application Analyst or similar experience in a healthcare related I.T. position (or equivalent clinical role).
  • Appropriate Epic experience is required and certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team-based setting to improve care systems

  • Critical eye for risk analysis, monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Significant experience working in a complex health care organization and deploying systems to meet user needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross functional groups and varied needs.
