Pramac, part of the third biggest diesel generator and first gas generator manufacturer group in the world, is looking for an Application Engineer – Generators and Light Towers to join the team. Pramac is a leader in power generation, light towers and battery storage systems with a long history of providing premium products.
Main accountabilities include supporting key customers with the design of mobile solutions, gathering customer requirements with a consultative approach, providing technical solutions, coordinating with global manufacturing facilities, analyzing datasheets and drawings, and maintaining clear records and relationships to support commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Taking a lead role in supporting key customers with the design of Mobile solutions.
- Uncovering customer requirements quickly and effectively, applying a consultative approach to assess needs, business risks, and potential benefits to reach mutually beneficial solutions.
- Providing key customers with technical solutions.
- Working with global manufacturing facilities; acting as the key contact for product information and design specification changes.
- Analysing technical datasheets, specifications, and drawings to extract information.
- Reporting and updating the Sales Director on existing and developed business applications.
- Source, analyse and qualify a strategic pipeline of new and profitable business opportunities; develop proposals and presentations for key stakeholders on a monthly basis.
- Maintaining a database of prospects and account activity using Salesforce.
- Keeping clear records of issues, actions, and responsibilities to support successful commercial resolutions and client relationships.
- Providing technical support to the UK Sales Area Managers with training sessions and joint visits.
- Supporting the UK Mobile stock purchasing decisions in collaboration with Sales Director, considering market requirements, pricing, genset specifications, lead times, shipping, and storage facilities.
- Staying ahead of industry and competitor trends and bringing new ideas for opportunities; keeping stakeholders informed.
- Positioning our product strategically based on its market capability.
