We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our Theatre team at Practice Plus Group Ilford. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity within a modern surgical environment where patient safety, clinical excellence and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

You’ll be working alongside experienced anaesthetists, surgeons and theatre colleagues, playing a vital role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care across a range of procedures. Whether you’re looking to consolidate your experience or continue developing your specialist skills, this role offers a supportive environment with real opportunities to grow.

What you’ll be doing
  • Preparing anaesthetic rooms, equipment and drugs to ensure theatres run safely and efficiently
  • Assisting anaesthetists during procedures and providing high standards of patient care and reassurance
  • Monitoring patients and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Supporting safe patient transfers and effective handovers to the recovery team
  • Ensuring infection prevention, health and safety and governance standards are met at all times
  • Managing equipment checks, stock control and reporting any maintenance issues
  • Working collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary theatre team
  • Contributing to service development, audits and quality improvement initiatives
What we’ll look for in you
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • A recognised Anaesthetic qualification
  • At least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in an anaesthetic role
  • A strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and clinical best practice
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
  • A flexible, team‑focused approach with a willingness to support colleagues
  • Confidence using clinical IT systems and maintaining accurate patient records
