Air Source Heat Pump Engineers Trainee & Qualified

Join Organizabox as a Trainee or Qualified Air Source Heat Pump Engineer. This is a permanent, full‑time role based in Surrey/Hampshire.

Base pay range

Location: Surrey / Hampshire Border

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £26,000–£48,000 DOE + van + fuel card + training + benefits

About The Company

Valoris Group works with a leading UK manufacturer of renewable heating systems. With a strong pipeline of projects in both private domestic and social housing, they are expanding their delivery team and looking to recruit both Trainee and Qualified Air Source Heat Pump Engineers. This is a long‑term opportunity with genuine career progression and industry‑leading training.

The Role

Depending on your experience, you will either:

  • Trainee Engineers: Work alongside experienced installers, learning hands‑on in the field while completing a structured training programme. You’ll gain the skills and qualifications needed to progress into a fully qualified installer role.
  • Qualified Engineers: Take ownership of full ASHP installations, commissioning, and servicing, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards across both private and social housing projects.
Key Duties
  • Decommissioning and removal of existing gas boiler systems
  • Installing unvented hot water cylinders and associated pipework
  • Installing and commissioning ASHP systems in residential properties
  • Supporting or leading on fault‑finding and basic servicing
  • Ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety, and MCS standards
  • Liaising with customers, surveyors, and the office team to ensure smooth delivery
What We’re Looking For
  • Trainee Pathway:
    • Plumbing or heating background preferred (NVQ Level 2/3 ideal)
    • Strong interest in renewable energy and low‑carbon heating
    • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
    • G3 unvented qualification desirable but not essential
    • Full UK driving licence
  • Qualified Pathway:
    • Demonstrable experience installing ASHP systems
    • Strong plumbing and heating background (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
    • G3 unvented qualification
    • Knowledge of MCS standards desirable (training provided if required)
    • Additional certificates (WRAS, F‑Gas, electrical) advantageous
