Job description

We’re building Nume, the world’s first AI CFO. As our AI Financial Engineer, you’ll be the critical bridge between finance excellence and AI innovation – teaching AI systems to think about money the way elite CFOs do, then scaling that expertise to millions of founders.

Responsibilities
  • Define what world‑class CFO thinking looks like in practice; then engineer that intelligence into prompts, tools, and agentic workflows that replicate it at scale.
  • Own the quality bar; be the person who ensures every analysis Nume produces would pass muster with a seasoned CFO, then automates those standards by defining clear test cases and evaluation criteria.
  • Push the boundaries of what AI can do within finance – create prototypes and POCs that solve real financial challenges in novel ways using bleeding‑edge AI tools.
Qualifications
Financial Foundation
  • Strong grounding in FP&A; you’ve done real financial analysis and understand what makes insights valuable vs. just accurate.
  • You've lived the messy reality of financial management in growing companies – ideally in startups or SMEs where you’ve worn multiple hats.
Technical Fluency
  • Comfortable in the product/tech world; whether that’s having worked alongside engineers or built your own tools.
  • Bonus points for hands‑on experience with AI tools, prompt engineering, or coding your own financial automations.
  • Excited to learn and experiment with AI, even if you haven’t shipped AI products before.
Personality & Working Style
  • Structured problem solver; you break down complex challenges systematically and arrive at elegant solutions.
  • Thorough and detail‑oriented; you catch the edge cases, spot inconsistencies, and care deeply about accuracy.
  • Gets things done; you have a bias toward action, shipping working prototypes before perfect plans.
  • Diligent and independent; you take ownership, follow through, and don’t need constant direction.
  • Focused explorer; you’re curious and creative, but you know when exploration ends and delivery begins.
Location & Remote Work

Our team is split between Copenhagen and London, with office space in both locations. You’re welcome to work from the office whenever it suits you, but remote work is equally supported.

Benefits

You will work directly with a small, experienced product team to build the beating heart of what may be one of Europe’s next unicorns. This is a rare opportunity to work on the frontier of finance, help define the field’s future in the AI era, and impact the lives of customers the world over.

If you want to stay in finance but work at the frontier of how finance will be done in the future, this is one of the few places where you can.
