You will support and enable multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex public-sector digital services that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
At Zaizi, we work with government departments and public bodies to solve complex delivery challenges using modern, user-centred approaches. This role is suited to an experienced delivery professional who brings sound judgement, strong collaboration skills, and a focus on outcomes rather than process.
We highly value experience from a range of backgrounds, including government departments, arms‑length bodies, regulated public services, and consultancy environments. We offer active support, clear expectations, coaching, and space to learn our methodologies for those transitioning from the Civil Service or public bodies.
At this level, you will work with autonomy within agreed direction, escalating appropriately while remaining accountable for delivery outcomes.
What you will do
- Enable multidisciplinary and cross‑functional teams to plan, prioritise and deliver outcomes effectively in complex or changing environments
- Identify, manage and help resolve delivery risks, issues and dependencies
- Work closely with product managers, engineers and service owners to deliver against agreed visions and objectives
- Apply Agile principles pragmatically, balancing user needs, delivery risk, governance and value for money — rather than rigid adherence to frameworks or ceremonies
- Take responsibility for difficult delivery decisions, including when to pause, pivot or stop work based on evidence
- Coach and support team members and delivery managers through communities of practice
- Engage stakeholders at different levels, supporting informed and timely decision‑making
- Contribute to improving ways of working across teams and programmes

- Manage expectations and maintain trust
- Confidently challenge decisions, processes or plans that do not support user needs, value for money or sustainable delivery
Coaching and team support
- Coach and mentor delivery managers and team members
- Support team health, learning and continuous improvement
- Encourage inclusive, respectful and collaborative ways of working
Commercial and financial awareness
- Support management of suppliers and partners
- Contribute to budget management and value‑for‑money discussions

Desirable knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of the Government Service Standard and how it is applied in practice
- Experience delivering public‑sector services or working within government or arms‑length bodies
- Experience supporting teams through GDS Service Assessments or equivalent assurance processes
Inclusion and flexibility
We want our teams to reflect the communities we serve. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and career paths.
Research shows that women and people from ethnic minority backgrounds are less likely to apply unless they meet every requirement. If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply even if your experience does not match every point.
We support flexible working and reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and in the role itself.
