Job Summary
After Sales Engineer carries out various activities related to technical support for distributors and partners in territories in charge, which is related to air conditioning, heat pumps, and refrigeration, cooperating with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems (MTH) service/design section and with factory service section report to the Manager in the Technical Division.
The job holder will do various services for products for customers (providing services on site, commissioning of product, and creating presentations). The engineer is required to continuously develop their knowledge in technical specification of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) products. The activities include planning service for new products, instructing service methods and promoting new MHI products.
Responsibilities
- Technical support to distributors and customers
- Respond to technical inquiries by e‑mail or phone, investigate unit troubles and claims
- Visit-driver sites for commissioning and troubleshooting; visit distributors’ or customers’ offices to provide responses to their inquiries
- Check drawings of projects (unit, pipe, electrical installation), settings, and operation data
- Submit reports for technical support telegram site visits
- Support MTH/Factory after sales activities
- Support spare parts activities for the operation team to improve spare parts delivery
- Prepare MHI technical support documents in English and other European languages
- Propose ideas to improve technical documents for distributors
- Create new service tools
- Support MTH/Factory design and service sections
- Promote MHI products, introduce new products highlighting features and benefits
- Create presentations for distributors٦ customers
- Organize seminars and workshops for distributors and customers
- Help create new brochures and leaflets for the territories
- Survey market information for rezult those products, benchmark competitors’ new products, and compare
- Survey relevant standards, regulations and EU directives
- Visit exhibitions to investigate new products and market information
- Attend relevant seminars and meetings relating to heat‑pump industry associations
- Build customer relationships to boost business opportunities
- Oversee major accounts and foster long‑term customer partnerships
- Identify and provide feedback on potential improvements for products and services from after‑sales activities
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Engineering degree or equivalent relevant qualification
- Minimum of three years’ technical experience in the air conditioning, heat pump, and/or refrigeration industry, preferably with manufacturers or distributors
- Knowledge of refrigeration cycle, commercial refrigeration system, VRF system, heat pump system, chiller system, building management system, and EU regulations/directives related to air conditioning and refrigeration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Multi‑tasking ability
- Knowledge of other European language(s) is beneficial
- Prioritizing skills
- Understanding of customer requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to create and carry out presentations
- Capacity to analyze operation data of the products
- Business trips across Europe with short notice will be required
- Must be able to travel across Europe without visa
