Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Wimborne is seeking a System Safety Engineer to ensure safety and airworthiness of aerospace systems. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering and at least 2 years of experience. Candidates will perform safety analyses, maintain compliance with regulations, and support certification activities. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a System Safety Engineering role or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and System Safety Assessments (SSA).
  • Ensure all design changes are assessed for safety impact and support classification of modifications.
  • Maintain compliance with CS 25.1309 and DEF STAN 00-56.
  • Provide expert guidance to engineering teams on safety-related issues.
  • Support certification and airworthiness activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all safety activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety processes and procedures.

Education
