Advanced Nurse Practitioner – Stockwood Medical Centre
Overview

Job summary

We are looking for a passionate and committed Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our established and friendly nursing team at Stockwood Medical Centre.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse demographic and deliver high quality care in a modern, forward thinking and structured environment.

The successful candidate will be autonomous in making decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and interpretation of test results, who can independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists where necessary.

Main duties of the job

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner you will work autonomously, seeing untriaged patients with acute problems, mainly booked on the day using enhanced clinical assessment and treatment skills.

To provide clinical leadership within the practice, participate in clinical supervision for the nursing team and mentor and support other nurses in developing and maintaining clinical skills and evidence based practice.

You will be working within a team of other ANP's and GP's to offer a holistic service to patients and their families, developing where appropriate an on-going plan of care/support, with an emphasis on prevention and self-care.
