Job description
Admin Assistant – Volunteer

Filming For Humanity uses film to address social issues and empower marginalized communities. They leverage the power of storytelling to raise awareness, inspire action, and create positive change in a visually‑driven world.

What difference will you make? Your contribution as Administration Assistant will have a direct and meaningful impact on the smooth operation of Filming for Humanity. By supporting the Director with emails, paperwork, and board coordination, you will ensure that key decisions move forward, legal documents remain organized, and communication across the charity stays clear and efficient. This behind‑the‑scenes structure is essential for a growing organization that manages film production, charity partnerships, volunteers, and multiple community‑focused projects. Your role will free up the leadership team to focus on directing, storytelling, filmmaking, and strategic development — knowing that the administrative foundation is secure.

Ultimately, your support will help us deliver more films, strengthen partnerships with charities, and create better outcomes for the communities we serve.

What are we looking for?
Essential Skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable with email management and general admin
  • Ability to handle and organise documents with care
  • Confident using basic office tools (Google Drive, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Experience
  • Administration, PA/EA work, office support, or board coordination
  • Experience organising meetings or taking minutes
  • Familiarity with charity or creative environments
Personal Qualities
  • Positive, reliable, and detail‑oriented
  • Calm, professional communication style
  • Warm, friendly, and team‑oriented attitude
  • Able to work independently and take initiative
  • Passion for social‑impact work and/or the creative industries

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting others, loves organization, and wants to contribute to meaningful film and charity work in a practical, essential way.

Key Priorities
  • Assisting the Director with email organisation and responses
  • Managing and filing key paperwork, documents, and project materials
  • Helping schedule and organise board meetings (setting dates, sending invites, preparing agendas, taking notes/minutes when needed)
  • Maintaining orderly records of contracts, agreements, and internal documents
  • Supporting general admin tasks that keep the organisation running efficiently
  • Liaising with trustees, volunteers, and partners when required
  • Ensuring smooth communication between departments

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being the organisational backbone of a small, creative, purpose‑driven team.
