Job summary

A well-established organisation in Bradford is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to manage financial tasks effectively. You will handle daily bank reconciliations, manage purchase and sales ledgers, and support with VAT returns. Ideal candidates are proficient in SAGE and Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail and clear communication skills. This role is full-time, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar accounts assistant or finance role.
  • Proficient in SAGE and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Clear and professional communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations.
  • Manage purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Undertake credit control activities.
  • Process supplier and customer payments.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Reconcile expenses and company credit cards.
  • Manage petty cash transactions.
  • Respond to email queries in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with business partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Support with ad hoc accounting duties as required.
