A major equipment dealer in Guildford is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support machine inventory management. The role involves ensuring accurate transaction recordings in the ERP system, leading month-end reconciliations, and producing analytical reports. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and strong problem-solving abilities, along with excellent communication skills. Reporting to the Accounting Lead, the Assistant Accountant will be principally involved in providing support in the area of machine inventory to ensure the accurate recognition and reporting of machine inventory in Westrac’s inhouse inventory management system DBS and Westrac’s ERP (SAP) including providing support to financial reconciliation processes.
The role will be responsible for delivering a detailed review of transactions within WesTrac’s ERP system (SAP) and inhouse inventory management system (DBS) and ensuring these transactions are recorded properly within both systems. The role will also entail engagement with sales admin team members to review and validate machine related transactions (additions, disposals, movements, etc) to support analysis of closing inventory balances quantity and valuation to ensure SAP correctly reflects the actual carrying valueTypeface of machine inventory.
Location: South Guildford, WARoster: Monday – Friday, 8 hours - 12 month (fixed term with potential to go permanent)
