MCS Group is excited to be partnering with an innovative technology organisation headquartered in Dublin. The company are growing into new global markets and seek a talented Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to oversee strategy and software development during this key time and beyond. This is a permanent role that sits within the senior leadership team reporting into the CEO so expect a varied day to day that encompasses strategy, AI adoption and engineering leadership.

(Hybrid Dublin - 2 days per week in office)

The Job
  • Shape and guide the company's long-term technical direction, making sure it supports both our commercial aims and product roadmap.
  • Lead and mentor the wider tech team, building an environment where people share ideas, solve problems together, and do their best work.
  • Take ownership of how our systems are designed, built, and delivered - across software, infrastructure, and internal IT.
  • Keep our platforms secure, stable, and ready to grow as the business scales.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and bring forward new tools or approaches that could strengthen our position.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues to understand business needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • Handle technology spend and resources wisely, making sure we invest where it matters most.
  • Put in place clear standards and processes so the team can work efficiently and consistently.
  • Act as the technical voice of the organisation when dealing with partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
The Person
  • A successful history in senior technology roles, with solid experience guiding teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong grounding in modern software engineering (Microsoft/.NET), system design, and day-to-day IT operations.
  • Hands‑on understanding of cloud platforms, security principles, and effective data handling.
  • A background in growing and supporting distributed teams working across different regions and time zones.
  • Experience setting meaningful KPIs and building clear dashboards to help engineering teams track progress.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to analyse challenges and make well‑judged decisions.
  • Confident communication skills, comfortable engaging with senior leaders and presenting at board level.
  • Happy to be on site 2 days per week.
