1st / 2nd Line IT Support Consultant - Schools IT Support

Join Classroom365, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) for schools ICT support, based in London and surrounding areas, including Essex. This full‑time, permanent position requires a minimum of 1 year experience in 1st/2nd line IT support. Many consultants have been with us for over 10 years, and you’ll gain industry‑standard certified training and experience across Google, Microsoft, Apple, cloud and cyber‑security technologies.

We are a leading managed IT services provider exclusively supporting the education sector. We provide a comprehensive range of IT services across London and the Home Counties, including full network infrastructure support, AV installations, IT suite refurbishments, remote backup, cloud hybrid solutions and consultancy on new school builds. We pride ourselves on extensive knowledge and support to LEAs, advisors, front‑and‑back‑office operations, school network managers, ICT coordinators and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site technical support and advice to clients at multiple sites; willingness to travel to customer sites is essential.
  • Advise clients on potential school infrastructure project work based on our SLA in schools.
  • Provide support for schools in Greenwich, Southwark, Wandsworth, Lambeth, Croydon, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Brent and parts of Essex.
Desirable Skills
  • 1+ years 1st/2nd line IT support experience and ability to work diversely.
  • Experience working in the Educational Sector.
  • Strong customer service and desktop support skills.
  • Well‑mannered and presentable.
  • Office 365 experience, including Teams and SharePoint.
  • Office 365 migration and working experience.
  • Any experience or knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in Microsoft Entra (Intune).
  • Google Workspace for Education.
  • Wireless networking (Wi‑Fi, WLAN) and configuration of Wi‑Fi networks.
  • Windows Server 2016‑2025 Active Directory and Group Policy experience desirable.
  • Windows 10 / 11 desktop support experience.
  • Mobile device management (MDM) for iPad, Google Chromebook, Windows devices.
  • Apple device management experience desirable.
  • Workstation deployment (WDS, MDT or other).
  • Networking knowledge – switching, domain environment, complex troubleshooting.
  • Experience with server infrastructure – Hyper‑V, VMware.
  • Strong team player.
  • Successful candidates must pass an Enhanced DBS check and be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Essential Skills
  • Office 365 administration experience, migration (optional).
  • Google Workspace admin experience.
  • Active Directory / Group Policy (desirable).
