Job summary

A leading firm in Northern Ireland is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer. In this role, you will manage day-to-day Health & Safety queries, oversee incident reports, and maintain HSE documentation. Ideal candidates will have over 3 years of experience in a Health & Safety role and strong IT capabilities. This position offers hybrid working opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Full, clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role.
  • Strong IT capability in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Solid knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance requirements across both ROI and NI.

Responsibilities

  • Managing day-to-day Health & Safety queries and requests from operational teams.
  • Overseeing the raising, follow-up, and close-out of Operational Restrictions and Incident Reports.
  • Coordinating site inductions for all personnel.
  • Managing HSE documentation and risk assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Managing day-to-day Health & Safety queries and requests from operational teams
  • Overseeing the raising, follow-up, and close-out of Operational Restrictions, Incident Reports, Safety Bulletins, Good Catches, and statutory inspections
  • Coordinating and maintaining site inductions for all personnel
  • Managing, updating, and controlling site HSE documentation, procedures, and risk assessments
  • Maintaining the HSE training matrix and organising required training for staff
  • Reviewing and approving contractor RAMS, with involvement in project activity as required
Qualifications
  • Full, clean driving licence with access to a vehicle
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role
  • Strong IT capability, particularly across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Solid knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance requirements across both ROI and NI
