Qualifications

• Experience of teaching students with Special Educational Needs.
• Understanding of mental health needs.
• Flexibility to adapt interventions according to student needs.

Responsibilities

• Design interventions to support academic engagement.
• Report on student progress and safeguarding concerns.
• Conduct risk assessments to ensure student safety.
• Attend multi-agency meetings as needed.

Skills

Ability to build relationships with young people facing crises

Intermediate IT skills

Specialist knowledge of learning disabilities

Awareness of National Curriculum

Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Education

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Teaching Qualification

Safeguarding qualification (within last 12 months)

Qualification in therapeutic discipline

Training in de-escalation techniques (within last 12 months)

Enhanced DBS certificate (within last three months)
