The Construction Manager will lead, supervise, and manage all site construction activities related to bridge, road, and infrastructure works. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and extensive UAE project experience to ensure timely execution, quality compliance, safety standards, and effective coordination with consultants and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage construction plans, schedules, and daily site operations for bridge and road projects.
- Ensure execution of works in accordance with drawings, specifications, project timeline, and budget.
- Coordinate with planning engineers for sequencing, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
Technical Oversight
- Oversee construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, road layers, asphalt, utilities, and drainage systems.
- Review technical drawings, method statements, and ITPs to ensure technical accuracy.
- Solve engineering challenges on‑site and provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervisors.
- Supervise site teams including engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and relevant authorities for inspections and approvals.
- Ensure materials availability, equipment deployment, and work sequencing without delays.
Quality Control
- Monitor workmanship quality and compliance with project specifications and international standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and address NCRs (Non‑Conformance Reports) effectively.
- Ensure proper documentation of tests (e.g., concrete, asphalt, soil compaction).
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE rules, risk assessments, and safety procedures at all site locations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce corrective actions for safety concerns.
- Work closely with HSE team to maintain a zero‑incident environment.
Cost & Resource Management
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and material usage to maintain cost efficiency.
- Validate subcontractor invoices, material requests, and equipment deployment.
- Prevent wastage and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Highlight risks, delays, and mitigation plans to management.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, approvals, variations, and site instructions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (mandatory)
- Master’s degree is an advantage
Experience:
- 15–18+ years of construction experience, with at least 5years in bridge and road projects
- Strong UAE infrastructure experience (mandatory)
- Proven track record managing large bridge, interchange, and highway projects
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of bridge construction, post‑tensioning, and structural works
- Road works, asphalt, utilities, and drainage systems
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and project reporting tools
- Strong understanding of UAE authorities’ standards (ADM, ADDED, DOT, etc.)
