• Working knowledge of South African Biodiversity and Waste legislation
• Working knowledge of Biodiversity and Wetland offsets
• Working knowledge of conducting waste and biodiversity audits
• Project management and application of contract management
• Ecology, biodiversity and integrated environmental management (sustainable development)
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Experience in the compilation of reports; monthly, quarterly and annual reports and
• Eskom environmental management strategy, business plans, policies and procedures
• Impact of the business activities on the natural environment and the impact of the environment on the business
• Origin an evolution of ISO 14001 and other standards within the 14000 family
• Conducting cost evaluation for environmental rehabilitation e.g. closure plans
• Obtaining and maintaining environmental authorizations, consequences of non-adherence to authorizations
• Purpose, structure and application requirements of biodiversity and waste laws and other related legislation and requirements
• Current knowledge on environmental management issues i.e. climate change, energy efficiency, new technology
• Identify relevant research topics and conduct environmental research, investigation and analysis
• Legal requirements, processes, activities
• Root cause analysis techniques
• Environmental management system (EMS) auditing processes

B Degree/B Tech/Advanced Diploma in Natural Sciences/Environmental Management at NQF7 with 360 credits

Five (5) Years experience in environmental management
