Primary Purpose of the Position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive HR leadership at our ICM manufacturing facility, supporting both unionized and non-unionized employees. In this role, the Manager acts as a strategic advisor and coach to the site leadership team, ensuring effective implementation of corporate programs related to compensation, benefits, and employee training and development. The Manager oversees the daily administration of the labor relations agreement and plays an active role in the development of labor negotiations planning. Additionally, this role contributes to key HR and Labor Relations projects, including reporting and initiative support across the Americas Manufacturing footprint. The Human Resources Manager, will be skilled at navigating complex environments, balancing operational needs with strategic objectives, and building strong, collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day labor and employee relations, supporting leaders in performance management, conflict resolution, and team development. Strengthen employee engagement through effective communication and workforce initiatives.
  • Manage performance coaching, and conflict resolution. Support leaders in building strong, engaged teams and drive initiatives that enhance communication, retention, and workforce connection.
  • Foster a positive work environment through team development, effective training management, and oversight of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and regulations, support diversity initiatives, and manage Workers’ Compensation to meet requirements and control costs.
  • Support cross-site labor relations projects and lead or contribute to planning, reporting, and execution efforts. Manage key HR administrative functions, including staffing for salaried, hourly, and contract roles.
Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
Experience
  • 5 + years of progressive experience in Goodyear Human Resources or external Human Resources individual contributor / managerial positions.
  • Experience working with both unionized and non-unionized workforces is required.
  • 2 + years of broad generalist experience handling adjacent disciplines including talent acquisition and compensation and benefits administration preferred.
Preferred
  • Masters in Human Resources or Labor Relations, MBA, or SHRM certification.
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience working in the collective bargaining process.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and build effective working relationships both within the plant and with external partners.
  • Ability to work with computer systems, email, Microsoft Office products, HRIS systems & internet.
  • Ability to develop, coordinate & implement projects of varying scope.
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills.
