A global consulting firm in Dublin is seeking an Operational Risk & Controls Analyst to lead significant OPC projects. This role involves consulting expertise and project delivery leadership to enhance operational resilience and compliance. Delta Capita is seeking an Operational Risk & Controls Analyst to lead a high-impact Operational Permanent Control (OPC) project for a major financial institution. This role combines consulting expertise, regulatory risk management, and project delivery leadership at the intersection of operational control, non-financial risk, and strategic change.
You will work directly with clients to implement and enhance their first line of defence (FLOD) control frameworks, manage regulatory expectations, and deliver measurable improvements in operational resilience and compliance.
Lead the OPC project, ensuring effective implementation of group policies and procedures across fraud, outsourcing, conduct, IT, GDPR, and compliance risks.
Define project scope, delivery approach, and integrated plans aligned with regulatory and operational risk objectives.
Execute control plans and methodologies, ensuring results are analysed, documented, and remediated with full stakeholder traceability.
Facilitate Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and ensure procedural updates are completed in line with governance requirements.
Produce high-quality artefacts including status reports, dashboards, steering papers, and regulatory evidence packs.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear deliverables, SLAs, and change readiness.
Mentor junior consultants, contribute to RFPs, and support business development initiatives.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering high-quality consulting services and driving strategic change.
Manage client relationships, influence decision-making, and ensure successful engagement outcomes.
Support the growth of Delta Capita’s consulting practice through thought leadership, operational support, and team development.
Lead and inspire project teams, ensuring delivery excellence and continuous improvement.
Proven experience in consulting, project management, or business analysis within financial services.
Strong understanding of operational risk, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks.
Experience managing change programmes across strategy, design, build, testing, and go-live phases.
Familiarity with capital markets, banking products, and lifecycle events.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
High attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and commitment to quality assurance.
Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.

Expectations regarding hybrid working: As we are a Service Provider and Consulting firm servicing clients, our policy for physically working from the office (which may be the client’s offices or our own offices depending on the client) aligns to what our client’s policies and expectations are and these vary. Most of our client’s now require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, 2 days from home, and accordingly this is also the minimum expectation that Delta Capita require.
